Overseer
Install the Sightline desktop companion for Windows, sign in, and approve your first scrim upload.
Overseer is the Sightline desktop companion for Windows. It runs in the system tray, watches the Overwatch Workshop folder, groups each session's logs into Scrim Blocks (proposed scrims), and uploads only the blocks you approve. Nothing leaves your machine without a click from you.
Install
- Download the installer from the Overseer page. The page serves the current stable build and shows its version and SHA-256.
- Run
Overseer_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe. It installs for the current user only and doesn't need administrator rights. - Overseer starts in the tray and offers to launch with Windows. You can change that later in Settings.
SmartScreen
Overseer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows a “Windows protected your PC” prompt on first run. Compare the SHA-256 on the download page with the file you downloaded, then choose More info and Run anyway. Code signing is planned before general release.
Open Overseer from the tray and choose Sign in. Your browser opens the Sightline sign-in page. Approve the request and return to the app.
Overseer uses your normal Sightline account. The sign-in token is stored in Windows Credential Manager, not in a file.
First scan
After you sign in, Overseer scans the Workshop folder and shows every Scrim Block it found. For each block:
- Pick the team the scrim belongs to.
- Drag a map to another block if the grouping is wrong.
- Maps already on Sightline are marked as uploaded and skipped.
- Click Upload to confirm.
From then on, Overseer picks up new logs when Overwatch closes and sends a notification. It never opens a window over the game.
Settings
- Workshop folder: the Overwatch folder under Documents. Change it if your logs live somewhere else.
- Launch at startup: on by default.
- Sign out: clears the stored token.
Nightly builds
Nightly builds are built from the latest development code. They're for testers, they can break, and they aren't listed in the changelog.
Use the nightly download link to get the newest build. Nightly versions look like 0.1.0-nightly.20260828.964e55a and are removed from the download server after 30 days.
Uninstall
Remove Overseer from Settings > Apps like any other program. Sign out first if you want the stored token cleared.
